Adopt An Orphan
You can make the difference in the life of a chimpanzee! To care for one of our special residents’ costs $5,000 a year. When you “adopt” a chimpanzee, your donation helps to provide healthy meals of fresh fruits and vegetables, highly skilled veterinary care, necessary medications, loving daily care from our dedicated caregivers, enrichment activities, and a safe and natural forested environment where they can live a lifetime with their adoptive chimpanzee families! Your compassion and support makes their rescue and care possible!
Simply click the Adopt An Orphan button to be a virtual caregiver for one of our beloved chimpanzees!
At Sanaga-Yong Rescue, the chimpanzees live in lush, forested enclosures – free to climb trees, run, jump, laugh and form strong, loving bonds, but we need your help to continue to provide the highest quality of lifelong care.
For a minimum adoption of six months you will receive:
- Two 5″ x 7″ photographs of your chimpanzee
- A full biography
- Certificate of Adoption
- Chimpanzee Fun Facts card
- Personalized letter
- Periodic photo updates sent via email
And the satisfaction of knowing you have made the difference in the life of a chimpanzee!
Adoption levels include:
Recurring monthly donation of $25
Six-month adoption = $150
One-year adoption = $300
Two-year adoption = $600
Chimpanzee Champion = $5,000
Become a Chimpanzee Champion! For a donation of $5,000 you can fully care for one of our beloved chimpanzees for an entire year and provide for all of their needs! As a Chimpanzee Champion, you will receive all of the above-mentioned benefits and a signed copy of Dr. Sheri Speede’s book Kindred Beings, a personal call from Sheri thanking you for your generosity, quarterly updates on your adopted chimp, an 8” x 10” photo of your chimpanzee suitable for framing, and an invitation for you and a friend to be our special guests at our annual gala in Portland, Oregon!
Adopting An Orphan makes a perfect and unique gift for a friend or family member for any occasion! Photo updates are sent via email to you and the special recipient of your gift.
